Howdy! My name is Amy Reid and I have a passion for making recycled fashion.
Out There Fits is One of a Kind fashion that's Kind to the Planet! I design and construct all of my garments and accessories right here in Boorloo (Perth, WA). Working exclusively with recycled, remnant and second-hand textiles, I try my best to minimise my environmental footprint and fabrication waste.
The name 'Out There Fits' stems from my love of a good play on words. For some, 'out there' has negative connotations - a backhanded way of saying something is "too much" or "too strange". Having been called "a bit out there" a few times before, I wanted to reclaim the phrase! For me, 'out there' means One of Kind - special in it's peculiarity. 'Out There Fits' is about self expression - finding what make you unique and putting it 'out there'!
